This was our first time in Frankenmuth, and we chose to stay at the Drury Inn based upon other reviews.
We had never stayed in a Drury hotel before, and we wound up very disappointed in our stay. For the price of almost $400 per night we would have expected an upscale experience, but our time there was far from that.
On a positive note, our room was comfortable and clean. It probably would have been quiet, if not for the various barking dogs staying in this pet-friendly hotel. The location was convenient to everything we were interested in doing in Frankenmuth, and there were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Parking was plentiful, and free, which we also appreciated.
The breakfast was merely adequate, replete with lukewarm dishes of minimally healthy food, and the breakfast area was loud and crowded both days we were there. Again, we would have expected more from such an expensive setting.
The various front desk staff were pretty business-like - no friendly faces or warm welcomes, nor invitations to tell about what is available in the community. They were similarly cold in response to our concerns about the barking animals.
Suffice to say, we will not be returning to the Drury for our next visit to Frankenmuth, and we will be hesitant about considering any other hotels in the chain.
