The room was fairly clean, although the bedsheets had some stains. The rooms are pretty dated in this hotel. Definitely could use some updating. The free breakfast was good, however.

My room was not throughly clean upon arrival. I had to request housekeeping come to my room. We were two guest and only two towels were available in my room. We had to request more.

Homeless persons broke into the gated lot the hotel used to have cars parked (for $74 per night) and damaged five cars. We had a car parked in the lot and were scheduled to stay another day. The hotel valet said there was nothing they could do to prevent cars from being damaged. I told the hotel I could not stay under those conditions as a car was essential to the res of my vacation, was given a refund for the second day, and had to leave San Francisco a half day earlier than planned and missed several activities we had hoped to do. This was my fourth Hampton Inn I had stayed it in a week across the country and by far the worst experience I had ever had at a Hampton Inn.
