Since we were already local we tried to sign in15 minutes early, thinking if room was available we could just check in. The woman said we would have to pay $20 extra to get in the room. Also since we got the room through hotels.com we didn't know their usual breakfast was shut down because of construction. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. I will go back at another time though.

Foolish rule

While hotel was nice, the fact that they wouldn't allow me to check-in only 15 minutes early without paying an extra $20. The room was ready, but it didn't matter to them. Also, the beds were not comfortable.
