This is a decent budget stay. The staff was very friendly. It was just hard to get in touch with them. Nobody answered the phones and half the time there wasn’t somebody behind the desk.

Room was amazing! Great location. Definitely new favorite place to stay when visiting Santa Barbara. Top quality service and felt like home. The bed was more comfortable than my own bed.

We were in a Roach Motel! We found two roaches within minutes (one was inside the refrigerator). We tried to contact management, but both us and expedia had a really hard time getting a hold of anyone. My wife had to leave the lights on because she was afraid of what might come out if it was dark. When we asked to have the remaining two days refunded the answer was just no. Absolutely no accountability or remorse. Don't stay here!!!

Hidden charges

All in all, it was good. Property is charming and fairly well maintained. However after leaving they charged my credit card additional fees. I have repeatedly asked them to justify these charges but they remain silent. I am quite sure I didn't do any damage and even left a housekeeping tip. Just know that the posted rate is not what you'll pay. They will ding your card for more money and not tell you why

Would not stay here again.

This place had such mixed reviews it was hard to know what to expect. I had higher hopes, but was disappointed. The outside of the motel is unique and kinda cute, despite sharing a parking lot with some pretty low budge apartments. Once inside, it was pretty bad. There was a very powerful odor that smelled musky and moldy, the in room “jetted tub” was gross and we ended up not wanting to use it. The waiver mentioned bed bugs and I became completely concerned. We did not see any bugs but my imagination left me itching and paranoid which made it hard to sleep. The floor had a weird film on it so I didn’t walk barefoot on the floor. The toilet barely could flush, requiring a few flushes before a small amount of toilet paper would go down. Very dingy kitchenette and bathroom. Lots of damage on walls, doors, moldings. Overall just felt dingy and ran down. Very overpriced. I think the person above us lives there full time. Overall very dissatisfied. Would not waste money there again!!!

The office was closed when we arrive. I didn’t know the office opens at check in time. Even though I answered their message on text from them what time we would arrive. They didn’t answer the phone even. The room was clean and bed was comfy. The only problem I had was the sheet had unknown substance on it. I asked for it to be changed and the housekeeper did that for me even though the initial response was they only change out towels. The jacuzzi was great. I would stay there again.
