It definitely felt like an Inn. Your room is out in the open so you can hear EVERYTHING (the street traffic, the pool, people walking around) and they don't have AC so you'll need to keep windows open if you're hot. So not luxurious at all. But the room we had was well kept and seemed super clean

I received a phone call at 4:30 AM from someone who spoke my name in a nasty and inappropriate manner. After that, I continued to receive numerous calls, and I was surprised that someone knew my name and room number, especially at such an early hour. After I complained to the front desk and threatened to contact the police, the calls finally stopped. I found the front desk staff, particularly Bobby, to be unhelpful. When we decided to call the police ourselves, Bobby suggested that Expedia might have provided our details, including our room number.

Small but important inconveniences

There was no chair in the room itself. Very uncomfortable putting on shoes from the bed. Floors are all tile, would be nice to have a couple of rugs. No hangers in the room. I had to request for two hangers. Also, asked for courtesy late check out and they gave me 15 minutes. That was a joke. For the price of the rooms, these are minor items that Im sure they can afford.

The location of this hotel is perfect, especially for the price. Great location, a block from the beach. This is an older hotel (set up like a Motel) but is pretty well updated. However it’s still clearly an older property. The bed needs an update and the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. However I would definitely stay here again. The staff were really nice and accommodating and you really can’t beat the location.

The room was very spacious. It reminded me of a studio apartment. They were kind enough to put me on the first floor as I cannot walk up steps. However, it was very inconvenient to get to the office, the icemaker or the breakfast, due to the steps involved. They provided a location out in the parking lot for those who smoke. I felt that was very considerate since my husband smokes. We were literally a u-turn away from the zoo, which was our destination. The place was quiet, cozy and comfortable.

not bad for Santa Barbara - price wise

The room as not ready at the time of check-inn time but we were told we could put our things in the room . The room was filthy from the last people and stuffy, un inviting. The cleaning staff was friendly, the pool was nice, the bed was comfortable, the furnishings were weird-neither modern nor old fashion and the place nor room was not at all what it sounded like in the add. The "terrace" was tiny- barely a balcony over looking the parking lot.

Weve been coming here for about 15 yrs. and we love how mello the vibe is. I would have given 5 stars except for the new parking fee. It was unexpected and pretty high for how unassuming the property is. Charging $15 per night is a bit much.

The Inn is quaint, yet older with some cracks in the paint and mismatched furnishings. However , that really added to the cozy feel of the space. Despite not having air conditioning, the room was well ventilated with a large ceiling fan and an optional tower fan provided in the closet. The area was quiet. Onsite parking is an additional fee.

My husband and I were in the area for a birthday party. The check-in process was easy, and we loved the free coffee provided in the lobby. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The only area that needed more care was the shower- the bottom of the shower curtain was a little dirty and there was something stained on the shower wall. Overall, I would highly recommend this property due to excellent service and nice facilities.
