We travel often for work. We are not picky on what ammenities a hotel includes as long as it has clean beds and basic basic services (like functioning temperature controls). We had 4 rooms for 2 nights. The building was very dated but we didnt care. I thought my thermostat was broke as our room had to be well over 25 degrees at night with both windows open and an outside temp of -3. After speaking to our employees in the other rooms, we realized that we all had the same problem. I brought this up to the desk and he told me that all thermostats are deactivated and they control the temperature. They would not turn it down. They told me to crank up the AC to full to fight the heat. The result was an extremely dry room that didnt allow my CPAP machine to function properly as my resevoir dried after just a few hours (usually lasts 3 days). We barely slept which was not good as we had to drive 3 moving trucks home the next day. The desk refused to do anything to make this situation better. Additional to this, there was a ball of wires under the heat radiator were not secured in an electrical box and were not safe (and not to code). The cherry on top of this stay was that after dark they allowed crackheads the were dropped off by OPP to wait for the buses next door to wait in their lobby and entrance way. One was yelling and tripping out in the lobby. As we were 8 movers, I was not overly worried but this would not be the case if i had my babies or wife with me. Don’t stay here
