Historic and atmospheric, beautiful location in the traditional old town, spacious restaurant and pier access, very convenient for ferry access and sunshine on terrace all day round. Food options were extensive but more expensive than comparable restaurants in the area, and it would have been nice to have a freshwater pool to cool down in. Spa and restaurant staff were fine, not overly friendly, but reception staff were excellent - their local restaurant and gelato recommendations were superb!

Location food and staff are fantastic. The rooms, however, are a little tired. Needs a refresh. Also, we were short of toilet paper on several occasions. We followed instructions regarding the reuse of bathroom towels but invariably received fresh ones. Not so green!

Fantastic location for shopping, dining and transport links. Very picturesque with helpful and friendly staff. Room comfortable and breakfast was fine. The sulphur smells from the pool were very unpleasant and on occasion permeated through the hotel but the pool area itself was nice if a bit overheated. Would be good to have tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Lakeside location

Check in was not easy, as hotel failed to send email with details of parking arrangements. The restricted car access meant we had to park temporarily some distance from the hotel and walk to reception to establish where the parking had been arranged, before we could check in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Best feature of the hotel is the lakeside location and thermal spa facilities that are excellent.
