Great stay

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. 2 bathrooms are a huge plus with a teenage girl. We were able to make breakfast in our room each morning and had plenty of space to play games. The patio areas were great as well as the tennis court and rackets to use. Location was great. Pool area was great as well.

Very friendly staff at checkout. Had a first floor room with private patio on the center courtyard (outside pool) area with a private picnic table and chairs. Playground equipment was clean, tennis court didn't have a net (off season) but I think that was better for the kids (they played with an imaginary net). We used the sauna, hot tub, kiddie pool and sauna - all were clean and in working order. Pool temp was very warm/comfortable (not too much of a shock when going from the hot tub to the pool). It was off season so not very busy (which was nice for pool time - seemed to be enough tables/chairs for all families using the pool). Not sure how crazy it would be on a busy weekend as the indoor pool area isn't the biggest but perfect for the off season. They also have a pool side basketball hoop, basketballs, kickboards and misc water toys. Only issue we had was with the toaster - it should be replaced - had to hold down the handle for it to toast (ended up using the stove to toast our bagels/bread). Just a short distance from downtown Sister Bay. Overall a really cute place, would visit again.

This was the perfect place to stay for our first anniversary. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about things going on in the area. You can walk to downtown sister bay from the property.

Spring break success

We have stayed here now three times and each time it was 5 out of 5 stars. It is perfect for the family, good space and enough pool accommodations to make any kid happy. The location to fun in door county is perfect as well. Highly recommend.

This is our second time staying at the Scandinavian. First time was in 2023. Last year we stayed at the Newport. Huge mistake and absolutely terrible experience. We came back to the Scandinavian and so glad we did! Front desk staff are so pleasant and helpful. Our room (209) was wonderful! A huge wrap around balcony, beds are SOOO comfortable and it’s just so cozy! We ended up adding one more night to our trip because of bad weather. (Snow storm and a 5 hour drive home- nope!!) Off season rates are very affordable and definitely worth every penny! Not one negative thing about this place. 10/10 absolutely recommend!!

Love the place …

We love stay here! We having been coming for several years now. They have made some nice updates within the condo suites. The only comment we have in the updated shower area, the shower head is so high up the average person isn’t even able to reach the shower hose to shower and if left on the holder the shower is spraying all over. We are able to work with it but wished it was a lower to reach. 😊

Was very disappointed in our room. We’ve been staying at the lodge for more than a decade and this room did not have a jacuzzi bath tub, even though every single other time we’ve stayed there we’ve had one. Also, the new floors were very unwelcoming and not cozy/homey. We love everything about the Scandinavian lodge otherwise, we’re just very disappointed in that particular room. No outlets on the sides of the bed to charge phones.

The place needs a major update. Carports in the hallways and in the units was old and outdated. The room rates are expensive so the place can afford to reinvest their room revenue back into the property. It seems in the last 20 years nothing was updated. Front desk ppl had no customer personality.
