The bar dining area was beautiful and the food was amazing. Our bartender did a great job. We loved staying at Magnolia. The room smelled clean, the walls and bathroom were immaculate. Chad at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. We didn’t eat breakfast but next time we come to St. Louis we will stay here and sample the breakfast menu. This hotel was a Great little place to stay downtown.

The staff were AMAZING! From Jesse at check in to the ladies at the bar, service was top tier! The room was nice and quiet which made for the PERFECT relaxation staycation. I will definitely be returning to this hotel soon!

The only unfortunate thing about our stay is that we only booked one night. It's a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms, super friendly staff and a great vibe. We didn't get the chance to play shuffleboard or pool or eat in the restaurant (Robie's) but when we come back, we look forward to trying all of it out. There are great restaurants nearby, including an amazing barbecue place called Sugarfire, and the valet staff was nice enough to let us park temporarily to load our luggage. The history in this place is cool for those curious. It was built in the 1920's and has a real mail chute from early in the building's time that you can look at in the lobby! I wasn't a fan of the parking situation but this isn't the fault of The Magnolia and the area makes parking challenging except for a select few options. Get some butter cookies in the evening-- they are well worth it!

Bummed because paid a decent amount of money for one night in St. Louis with my boyfriend and the conditions were not as we expected. Upon check in, we were told the room would be ready in about 10 minutes even though we checked in an hour after we could have. I thought this was peculiar, but to make matters more unsatisfactory we ended up waiting 30 minutes until I approached the desk and inquired about the room. I was given a room immediately by a different staff member who was very kind. Upon entering the room, it reeked of stale cigarettes. The couch was littered with appearing unused q tips from a previous guest I am assuming. There was also a q tip on the floor in the bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and relaxing, however, there was no fitted sheet on the bed and whatever contraption was acting as a mattress pad did not stay on the bed and was not on properly upon examination. The televisions also were super glitchy and did not allow for much watching of TV as they lagged badly and hardly worked.

Went to take a shower and the shampoo conditioner and body wash containers were all completely empty. Luckily my husband had packed his so I wasn’t left with wet dirty hair! Thats probably something that should be checked when they clean the rooms… Fan in the bathroom didn’t work so I had to wipe a towel down the mirror to be able to do my makeup following shower. This is usually our go to hotel when we’re in town for concerts but it’s gone downhill. Will be staying elsewhere from now on.
