The noise from car park and noise from the businesses opposite the mantra. Cleanliness of apartment left a lot to be desired this apartment desperately needs a thorough spring cleaning from top to bottom I'm at a loss to see how earth they achieve a 4 star rating

Not bad, lovely staff and generally clean, main issue is the queen bed set-up was two single mattresses put together, which made it difficult for us to sleep comfortably Reasonable price for what you get though

The main entrance to the Mantra is like a garage, no security measures for the lift anyone can use. The room smelt like sewerage and the bathroom was unclean with Mould on the ceiling and around the shower frame. Would not recommend this property

Convenient but poor attention to detail

Great convenient stay but disappointed with cleanliness and room needs . Dusty, curtains off their hooks , dirty bathroom waste bin .. insufficient kitchenette needs, one fork, no teaspoons , large carving knife !. Reception staff friendly and efficient . Graciously received the feedback about room

Absolutely atrocious conditions filthy. I asked for a refund and was upgraded to a bigger room 408a and the couch was covered in stains. Worst experience i have had at a hotel in my life. This place is more like a housing commission apartment complex so very disappointed

I've stayed at the Mantea several times. It's geographically convenient to where I often need to go in the Hills district. The location - in a commercial area - means it's quiet at night, but also you need to drive to restaurants. Access was a bit tricky the first time - it's vehind a commercial development, but not a problem. I'll continue to return when I need accommodation in the Hills district. The manager is very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel is situated in a business area, so you would expect the room to cater for business travelers. Not so! Our queen room had one chair - a large cushiony armchair. Ideal for a nap.Not an ergonomic chair that would fit at the desk provided! Why would you have a room for two people but only provide one chair - and a totally unsuitable chair? We asked at reception and were told all rooms were like this. A staff member begrudgingly gave us a plastic dining room chair. Do not assume the rooms here are suitable for working on a computer.

This is a truly dreadful hotel. The reception in the carpark is akin to a parking attendants station. The lift and common area carpets are filthy. The furniture in the room is filthy. The smell was awful. A flimsy internal door separated the room i was in from the neighbour. It was a very uncomfortable experience. On a bright note, the bed and bathroom were clean. So, if you're cost conscious and don't mind a bit if grime, coupled with an off-putting layout and stench, this may be the hotel for you. Prehaps it was just me, but there won't be a next time.

This property is in the industrial area of Castle Hill and is not bad for the price. If you need to be in this area this property is Ok but there are better places nearby but more expensive. We had a studio queen and it was a good size. No lounge and the TV is up high on the wall. I really don't know why they put them so high these days. The smoke doctors flashed all night and we could't get the aircon to work. The parking is free and normally secure but one of the doors was broken so it wasn't closed all night. You can hear cars driving around but that is to be expected due to its position. Overall it is fine if you get a good rate.

Not terrible but not great.

Sub par on cleanliness. Hair dryer had no switch, shower had leaks and quite a bit of mould, whole room and level smelled of stale food cooking. Not the worst, and not terrible. But wouldn’t repeat.

After reading other reviews I was considering cancelling, thankfully I did not. We travelled to Sydney for medical reasons and Mantra was the place to stay for us, we had a two bedroom, two bath ensuite unit and was very pleased with the quiet, comfort and conveniences the Mantra offered, beds were comfortable, the unit was clean and the toiletries supplied were of a high quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the unit had every convenience we would want at a very affordable price. I would definitely stay again.

I appreciated fresh towels on the second day of our stay. Parking was difficult, as access to the underground car-park was unavailable due to the height of out vehicle (>2m). We had to park in the car parks allocated to adjacent businesses.
