The Wi-fi was poor at best, hardly worked, unless you like dial up. The water temperature never got to hot, just a lukewarm shower. I forgot hairspray, and they had a card that said that if we forgot anything, they could help out. I called the front desk and they said they couldn't help me. So, not much went well there.

It's always good to see John at the front desk, this is definitely the best hotel to stay at when you're in McCall. Close to grocery store, close to town and restaurants, good complimentry breakfast, pool, gym, sauna. Have been coming here for years and it's never disappointed us, appreciate you guys, Aloooha.

I had a wonderful corner room. The bed was actually comfortable which I don't find often. The pool was open 24/7 which made it easier to have the whole thing to myself. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed a week and enjoyed the whole time. If I ever go back to McCall I will stay here again.

Honestly I would have given them a bad review because I discovered crunched up chips under the fitted sheet, the fridge leaked water all over the food I put in there, and I had trouble with the key card not working at one point. However, they were friendly and took care of the problems very quickly. There was plenty of breakfast and drink options in the morning and the beds were comfortable. The dog treat bags they gave me for my two dogs were a nice touch and the outside pet area was also really nice.

No Room At The Inn

When I arrived to check in at Best Western Plus McCall at 7 PM after a full day on the road I was informed my room had been cancelled and they were completely full. The reason for the cancellation was a credit card issue. I had made the reservation 8 months earlier and the card originally supplied had been compromised. The day before Best Western Plus McCall had sent me a text that they were looking forward to my visit and did not indicate there was any problem. If they had asked for the updated card information this situation would have been avoided. Due to the late time of day and the unavailability of rooms in McCall I ended up taking a room at an inferior facility at an inflated price. Hotels.com sent me surveys about check-in and my stay so they clearly did not manage the problem and did not care they had placed me and my wife in a very undesirable situation.

Jessica, the manager at Best Western checked me in and I have to say she is amazing. She was very personable and helpful, but what was most exceptional about her hospitality was that she seemed to anticipate my requests and automatically started solving for them. I was traveling with my 13 year old lab who has bad hips, as soon as I mentioned this Jessica immediately switched my room to a first floor room and mentioned a medication that her dog really improved on and suggested I ask my vet about it. She even sent me the exact name afterwards. Jessica is a star.
