The room was not very clean, especially the high-touch areas. After our stay began at the hotel, kids developed a stomach bug on the first day of the trip, forcing us to cancel all our plans. Cleanliness is extremely important when traveling with children, and this stay did not meet expectations.

This is the most run down hotel I have ever stayed in. I’m shocked by the high reviews. The beds were awful with uncomfortable mattresses and the box spring was stained and gross. I don’t think this hotel has had any upgrades since the 90’s. The appearance outside is atrocious with rusting doors and basically surrounded by dirt. The hot tub smelled like sewage with not even a hint of chlorine and that was the main reason I chose this hotel. We had zero maid service, not even to take out the trash. The only positive was friendly front desk staff, but that’s literally the only positive. The towels are miniature for bathing and the hot tub. I’ll never stay here again when visiting Taos. Beware.
