Hotel was under construction and we were not informed prior to check in. Breakfast was a paper bag, fitness center was closed again without being notified we would not have stayed here. Every shower went from warm to freezing and was unbearable!

Nice stay

Quick one night stay. King room. Basic. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Hotel still undergoing a remodel. Breakfast was grab & go (ala covid) or a voucher for a diner down the street that you could use for specific items. Front desk was friendly. Overall a nice stay, tho very basic.

Viva Ventura

Upon check-in, we were surprised to learn that the hotel lobby was closed for renovation, as this information was not readily apparent at the time that we made our reservation. However, there was excellent signage pointing to the temporary lobby on the 1st floor. In addition, the usual accompaniments to renovations (noise, dust, etc.) were not apparent. The staff was helpful, friendly, and have done a great job in accommodating the needs of guests from the temporary lobby, including providing good breakfast options. Pictures of the soon-to-be-complete renovated lobby show a first-class layout. Also, hotel's location is excellent as it is close to restaurant and beach area of Seaward Avenue in Pierpont section of Ventura. Highly recommend a stay here as it offers excellent value.

I wasn’t aware of any renovations and although it was a little strange how the set up was, I was extremely impressed with the amazing customer service! I travel for work so I wasn’t affected by the fact the office was in a hotel room, however, breakfast was still offered and my room was very clean. So under the circumstances, I would definitely stay again, with renovations and all!

This property is under construction and there is no mention of this on Expedia. The check in desk is a guest room which is also where you get your "breakfast" which is a frozen Jimmy Dean sandwich, a packaged pastry, granola bar and a brown banana or a coupon to wienerschnitzel. The bathroom floor in my room was covered in both human hair and dog hair and there was dog kibble on the floor. There was no hot water in the sink and there was no shower curtain in the bathroom so the floor was like a pool when I got out of the shower. There were food crumbs on the floor in the living area so it obviously had not been vacuumed either. VERY disappointing, especially since the location is great.

Horrible experience!!! Booked the hot tub room, filled up tub and jets didnt work. And no where did it staye it was under construction so no breakfast like it mentions on website. Gave passes to weinerschnitzel, disgusting!!! They wouldnt even discount oir room to the standard room price. So very disappointed!!!

This property, although undergoing construction, was the cleanest and most taken care of property I have had the joy of staying in for some time. It is underestimated for sure. No jacuzzi and no pool but beach within walking and access to most anything a person could want for a vacation or business trip .
