The room was recently renovated and large. The renovations looked modern not too upscale. The bed was comfortable. Like the other comment notes, the only main issue was street noise and other outside noise.

I recently stayed at Red Roof for 8 days and overall had a great stay. Staff was incredible and the location can't be beat (2 blocks from the ocean). Pros: Spacious room and comfortable beds. My room was split, rooms on one side and a living room/office space on the other. I liked that layout. Good tv options, strong internet. Warm shower. My room had a small microwave and mini fridge. I wish I'd have upgraded to a larger kitchen area, because of the length of my stay. Continental breakfast was normal, bread, bagels, cereal, waffles, eggs, and coffee. Served 6-9am. Things to think about if you stay here (these weren't dealbreakers for me, I'd stay again): The Inn is dated, so doors and such are pretty worn. I originally had to change my room because the outside door handle wiggled a lot and made me personally feel unsafe. They changed me without hesitation, it is off-season so many rooms were available. Parking is challenging with a large truck, so keep that in mind. The street is busy! I heard loud cars, motorcycles, and sirens the whole time I was there. Also, it's Virginia Beach, so you will hear jets overheard frequently. If you are seeking tranquility, find somewhere away from busy roads (you won't escape the jets anywhere in VB haha). I used my white noise machine, and that helped some. There's only 1 elevator, so sometime's you have to wait a bit to get to your floor. Again, great stay and unbeatable location.

I was asked to leave for leaving an honest review the room wasn't bad but the it was noisy and smelled of marijuana at times if you have kids I don't recommend the hey also served eggs everyday to it breakfast no change at all

Room was nice, plenty of space. Very clean and updated. Room we stayed in should have switched where the beds were and where the couch was. Too much noise from the road and the heater was. Heater blew directly on the one bed.
