Be careful not to get a room on the first floor - no cell phone reception. Coffee maker had confusing directions and, ultimately, didn’t work. Breakfast buffet was good but pricey. Real issue is that a large portion of the restaurant’s carpet was FILTHY. Couldn’t eat in peace looking at that vile carpet! Reception area did not provide nor sell toothbrushes. There was no facial soap in the room. Finally, while the front desk worker was helpful at reception, he didn’t explain the cooling/heating system. Froze most of the night.

We definitely had some hiccups. It was our honeymoon and I reached out by email twice and also by phone to try and set something set up. I kept getting passed around when I called in. No one could help me. So with no help, I finally gave up. When we arrived, the couple that was 2 ahead of us, were offered to have someone carry their bags to their room. When we asked about this too, the guy behind the desk so “aw, you guys got it”. We had to travel across 3 flights of stairs with suitcases and duffel bags. The bed was too high for me. I had to literally climb on to an ottoman each night to get in bed. I’m 5 ft tall. Never thought I’d have an issue like that. The way the rooms are set up (the configuration of the hotel) is very confusing, even the attendant told us that. And it’s true. Parking was difficult to find. The restaurant attached to it “Goosefeathers” has good food. It was slow and IMO overpriced. We ordered 4 different dishes so we could try a variety. Three of the dishes all came out at separate times. The 4th one never even showed up so we canceled it. Not sure why we never received dish #4. The hostess was very nice though and offered to take our pictures when we left, as it was our honeymoon. The property is lovely but I don’t think I’d go back again to the Estate or the restaurant. Sorry.

The shower was filled with mold the exhaust fan was filthy due to major neglect and managements response was unacceptable. Ceiling wallpaper were abstract monsters adding to an already stressful experience.

This was nightmare when it was supposed to be a celebration of my birthday and anniversary! However, the stay was horrible. We were Charged a resort fee different from what was agreed to in a contracted purchase, the hotel staff thinks it’s ok to vacuum outside the rooms at 1145pm, there was absolutely no parking because the hotel prioritizes its restaurant valet parking and event guests of paying guests. If you are getting married this is a decent spot. The hotel hosted a wedding every night of our stay a the guests were animals. At all hours of the night marching up and down the halls being loud and drinking. Broken beer bottle in the stair wells, and upside down signs of navigating this hotel isn’t hard enough. Good luck getting ice. If you are a family looking for a quiet getaway, don’t bother. This hotel DOES NOT care about the guests. Just about the events and restaurant which was subpar at best!

The hotel was just okay. I’m big on parking and making sure where I stay I do not have to struggle for parking. When I originally booked it appeared that there was plenty of parking, but that was not the case. The hotel host many events (wedding/ restaurant events) and all the parking gets used. They do not offer valet parking and expect guest to walk a far distance to their room.

Stayed on 1st floor, 2 nights. Not a cheap reservation. 1st night didnt get any sleep, people upstairs were so noisy, kept us us until 430am. Told supervisor at front desk and he offered zero compensation, said he would call me to let me know if they could change room forn2nd night and never did. I would expect a refund. Weve stayed there several times and spent tons of $$

Welcoming to pets ($100 non-refundable cleaning fee). Very lovely, helpful staff. Enjoyed the property - rooms and public spaces are a bit dated, but clean - and the windows are operable, which is huge for anyone who loves beautiful, rural fresh air in their room. The parking lots are a LONG way from the rooms, and there is no elevator. We schlepped luggage up and down stairs. There was visible water damage near the ceiling, making it appear dirty and dingy. The carpet needed to be steamcleaned or replaced. I will never stay here again.
