We chose Paynesville Inn because of the good reviews and affordable price. Our stay was just okay. The bathroom tub had hair in it yet, and the sink edges weren't cleaned well as it had looked like someone had shaved and the housekeeper didn't clean well. Next to the refrigerator was a piece of folded up garbage I had thought, so I reached down to pick it up to throw it away and it stuck to my hand. After looking at it, it was actually a pest control sticky pad. Yuck! After looking a little more, there were two of them in our room. Yuck! Other than that, our room was pretty tidy with fresh bedding. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were wonderful. The staff we spoke to were super pleasant, and the breakfast was good.

This hotel is very clean and well run. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Temperatures were very cold during my stay and they were gracious about a late checkout as I had a bit of trouble getting my truck started. Highly recommend this establishment.
