After admiring this hotel & its great location from afar for years, we finally booked our family there this past Presidents Day weekend. I wasnt notified until Thursday (when it was too late to cancel), that their restaurant is closed so there would be no food service at the hotel at all. Then, when we arrived, we were told they didnt get the coffee order, so no coffee pods in the rooms.
The lobby is a nice grand entrance...until you look closer and notice the broken tiles on the floor and the giant dirty fish tanks dividing the pool & lobby.
The beds were showing their age and the sofa pull-out bed was in really poor shape. Luckily our 11 year-old didnt care too much.
I'd have to say the real kicker came on Saturday afternoon, after we'd all been swimming in their pool. We noticed the bathroom was only stocked for 2 people, so I called down for 2 more towels. The guy at the desk told me they were completely out of clean towels!!
Overall, a very disappointing hotel stay. Which is such a shame since this place has a perfect location for beach & town access! I really hope the Shilo chain decides to either put money into fixing it up or just sells it quickly so a new owner can fix it before summertime!
