Great hotel convenient to visit 1000 islands. Food was just ok. Only one server the morning we were there. I felt bad for her. She was running around serving lots of tables. Staff were very professional though and accommodating.

I was truly disappointed. No microwave, poor condition of curtains and no rm darkening, floor was dirty, our rm had dumpster removal outside the window. The noise was terrible on our floor. I will not go back or recommend to anyone

The hotel is a mess. The carpets are disgustingly dirty, taped down, ripped in spots, just awful. The WiFi was not good. The pool was cold, the hot tub was broken. The atm wasn’t working. The room was so dirty. I never heard a vacuum run. The toilets were so dirty, the bathtub, too. The sink was black. The cleaner supposedly cleaned, but nothing was cleaned at all. We asked for a different room and excuse was none were ready. They were down cleaners they said. You had to sign papers they weren’t responsible for any losses, but the price was very expensive. Your money was none refundable. The furniture was stained and broken! I’ve never seen such a dated, dirty, unsafe, room! The carpets were unsafe to walk on. A huge liability with bare and dirty spots where they were coming up. The entry way was nice, just looked nice until you got upstairs. The carpet was taped down in the halls, even. It’s an accident waiting to happen. The maid repented your towels. We dropped some nuts on the carpet and they weren’t vacuumed, ever. Around the toilet was black. The balcony has nails sticking up. My money should be refunded. The maid didn’t even change any bedding. The towels were dirty. It’s a disaster!

It's such a shame this property has been let go for so long. I can't believe we paid over $200 for one night in this run down, dated, dirty, hotel. The hot tub was out of order a long with the sauna. The pool was small, cold and dirty. The spa area was filthy. Guests and/or staff were smoking pot so the hallways stunk. We were very disappointed.

Excellent position and views on St Lawrence but this property is tired(with a capital "T")-- carpets are stained,curtains ripped and the door to our room stuck and could be difficult to open. Wi Fi very unreliable,which the hotel put down to kids gaming .

The property hasn't been updated since the 80s.. The beds were very uncomfortable. Very outdated interior but the exterior looks nice. Nice views of the waterways.

Great hotel - friendly staff

Very cool older hotel. A little dated, but a fun vibe. It was convenient to have it next to the boat tour dock. We stayed in a room with a spiral staircase which my teen daughter thought was amazing. I loved the view and the balcony. Hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but about what you would expect. Server was amazing and the food was delicious

Staff is friendly. Property in poor condition. Spa and sauna advertised on website and also outdoor pool but not available in real life. Indoor Pool not heated and mold around enclosure. Towels have holes in them. Dangerous surroundings! Bathroom fan didn’t work. ATM out of order. Not worth the price charged. View and proximity to town are the only positives. This is not a resort!!!

We've stayed here a couple of times prior to this stay. We were overall satisfied with our stay, however, the cost paid per night does not reflect the overall qualify of this hotel/resort. Time has not been kind to this property. Each time we stay something is a bit more run down. On the second night the hot tub quit working. This time I believe we were placed in the only room in the entire hotel with carpet still. We were in room 433 (so very top floor closest to the banquet hall facing Boldt Castle). It had a little bit of a musty smell but we only stayed 2 night so it was fine. The shower head was a bit intense... no way to make it any less than 3 blasting water jets boring into your skin. I guess some may find that ok. I thought it just hurt. The fridge was nice to hold the food we brought for lunches. Overall the hotel is walking distance to everything in Alex Bay. The live music at night was nice. Overall I'd say it's a bit pricey for what you get. They really need to put some more money into the place. I think we'll be finding a new place to stay for our once a year weekend.

First, one of the keys didn't work, no biggie, it was replaced. When settling in the room for the night, the TV did work and had to be replaced (it was MUCH smaller TV). After watching TV for about an hour, the volume quit and would not work. The next afternoon, maintenance fixed that. The hot tub was disgusting, there was so much dirt on the bottom it turn into mud piles. The pool looked very unkept. On the bright side, the location was very central to everything, the food was very and restaurant and bar staff very friendly and accommodating. BUT, this was not a $200 a night hotel! I would not recommend it!
