We arrived and the person at the desk was very unfriendly and then we go to the room [309] the door looked like it was sawed off and plywood put over half the door. As we walked in there was no table in the room just two wooden chairs. We walk into the bathroom the tub is filthy, and towels rack off the wall. Only two celling lights and no lights on the nightstand. Will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Room was exactly like photo shown, comfortable and clean, room furniture in good condition, quite impressed property was well lite at night too … nothing fancy but a very decent motel for quick 1 night sleep before continuing our drive No breakfast only coffee was available but we didn’t expect much for the value paid

This dump calling itself the “Rodeway Inn” in Altoona is hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. The Expedia listing lies about “continental breakfast” — what you actually get is a stained coffee pot and a dirty cup. No food. Nothing. Just false advertising. The room? Disgusting. It stinks like mold and body odor, the bedding feels like it’s never been washed, and even the door is sticky with filth. Walking in made my skin crawl. To make things worse, they force you to pay a $50 security deposit and then never return it. This is pure theft. This place is a scam, a health hazard, and an embarrassment to the hospitality industry. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being lied to, robbed, and grossed out.

We had stayed at the Rodeway Inn before. The lobby was rough. But the people that worked at the desk were nice. The outside of the hotel could use a good weeding. I was surprised how clean the room was. Keep in mind this hotel is very basic but it more than did its job for a one night stay. I want to again thank the front desk staff of not having to give up my first born child to get registered. There is another in the area that you have to supply both ID for my husband and myself. Sign an agreement no pets no smoking no moving furniture. Thank you for making it Easy.

Went for a few days on a solo trip. This hotel is the furthest thing from being fancy, but for the price, it provided a clean place to lay my head. The showers water pressure was great and there was a microwave and fridge in the room. Many food options can be found close by. It was quiet for the days I was there.

Don't expect your deposit back

The overall stay was fine. However, I was asked for a $50 refundable deposit which seemed like a shady business practice. There is also no free breakfast as advertised. I still have not received my deposit back and it has been almost a week since we stayed. I have tried calling over 40 times and no one at the front desk picks up. There is no way to leave a message because voice-mail is full. This was definitely one of the cheaper options to stay, but they rob you of your deposit so spend your well-earned money elsewhere.
