The room was clean and very comfortable. The restaurant staff and hotel reception desk however was a different story. We had dinner after we arrived. Saturday's special was prime rib. The restaurant opened at 4 and we were there at 6. We were told that they were out of prime rib. Not exactly the truth -- we saw four plates of prime rib served to what we believe were "regular" customers. The staff was super friendly with those folks but lukewarm with a first-timer like us. Breakfast was about the same. Staff warmly greeted the "regulars" but barely came to refill our coffee. They should understand that if they expect people to return to such a remote location, they need to be inviting to everyone. The bartender WAS friendly and answered our questions. Obviously, we generously rewarded his attitude with a nice tip.

The room itself was lovely! I was not aware that you would need to walk through the casino to reach the lobby for check in, which did have cigarette smoking allowed. That was my only issue, I wish there could have been a separate entrance to avoid that exposure.

We were so happy with our stay! We booked our room about an hour before arrival mainly based on price and decent reviews. We arrived and first good sign was the free Tesla charger! Then we entered and were greater by the amazing front desk. We were automatically upgraded to a better room with with snacks an drinks included! Not to mention our $35 of free play in the casino. Only downside is the smoking in the casino but aside from that great stay! We will return!! We stayed at a JW Marriott the day prior and it was about 8x the cost. It was not even close to how easy and nice our stay was!!

The room was excellent, especially for such a great price. Check-in was a little slow, as there was only one person at the desk, but all the staff were friendly and excellent! And the Ribbonwood grill has really tasty food at very good prices. I'll be here again!

The only issue I had was having to walk thru a smoky casino to get into the hotel. And it should be clearer in the booking engine that there is no daily service. However, it was easy to request replacement amenities and the desk attendants were very accommodating and friendly.

Only concierge that was some what welcoming was Whitney. The rest of the hotel staff left me feeling unwelcome and besides myself. This was my first time staying at Cahuilla hotel and i was extremely disappointed and put off. I did not feel welcome at all, and was surprised with a $150 deposit. Now at all the other casino hotels are $75. This information was not provided during booking a reservation. I could go on and on about all the other inconveniences but those could all be excused for exceptional customer service, yet it was poor customer service at best. I dont even want to reflect on my experience as it was absolutely the worst hotel ive ever stayed at. I will not be giving it a second chance as it was that bad.
