Overall the staff at Lord Baltimore was very friendly and helpful with check in and when I needed an extra amenity. The hotel is old, been around since the 20’s so I expected that but my room overall just looked run down. The roof paint was peeling off and on the bed. Bathroom was very small but overall the stay was comfy for a quick overnight trip. It was in the heart of downtown as well.

I’m not one to usually leave reviews but there were some things that were a bit crazy. The elevator being the main one. There are about 5-6 elevators and only one was working. And not only that, there was zero information posted or given about it other than “they are a little slow.” Well they are a little slow because only 1 works. For something like 19 floors of guests. The front desk made no attempt to explain or address it and apparently it’s just normal because no one seemed to care…at all. Other than the people who found a way to go up and down very tight, narrow and steep emergency exit stairwells because otherwise it was at least a 15-20 minute wait for an elevator which was then accompanied with a push and shove to get in first regardless of if you were literally the first ones standing there…again, no employee monitoring or addressing that either. The hotel was ok. The AC did not work in our room and it was extremely warm and muggy. The hotel had a classy feel and like I said, it was ok. Check in staff were nice. I also had no clue how much I was charged for valet. They just said it’s charged on the card I provided at check in. I specifically asked and I received no answer. I don’t usually frequent hotels with valet, so it is a newer process. Some information would be nice is all. All in all not a bad stay over Father’s Day weekend. And I certainly wouldn’t say any inconveniences were enough to ruin my family time but it’s definitely something that needs addressed.

I’ll start with what I liked. The staff were amazing and friendly. I had a problem at check in and they completely helped me. The hotel has an old world charm to it, it’s nice in the lobby. Now for the things I didn’t like. The rooms are outdated. There could’ve been a couch in the room for an example but it’s a lot of empty space. The headboards had literal pieces of the fabric missing. It may have been wear and tear but it’s horrible.10pm my air conditioner in my room broke and my room was 80 degrees. The engineer left and they sent security to my room to just look and confirm. They switched my room at 1am. I still got charged for the room and they weren’t willing to work with me. There isn’t any real security, but the rooftop deck is opened to the public so it’s just anyone in the hotel at nights. Out of the 5 elevators only 2 were working for the whole stay. It took 10 elevators to pass me to get down to the lobby to check out.The worst was the valet. I want to say, Kaitlyn was the best person the valet has and she was amazing and helped make it right for me. Now back to valet. There was always a line at times. I texted in advanced and waited for my car. It was a bunch of us who got a text saying our car was ready and it wasn’t. We waited so long (25 mins) before I walked back inside and asked the front desk do they know where they are. The host stated they may be getting other cars, nope they were in the office looking at us and still didn’t help. I got my own keys.

Beautiful historic hotel- friendly & efficient staff. Tasty water. Walls seem to be thin, I could hear every hallway noise- luckily I was in a corner room. Elevators are haunted! Ended up walking 8 floors down bc elevators were so slow/packed constantly. Great location!

The hotel is beautiful downstairs, and it is in a VERY convenient location. 20 min walk from the harbor, and buses/trains outside the hotel. The staff service, and cleanliness of the hotel however is horrible. I paid for a city view room and got the view seen in the photos, not to mention the cleanliness of my room upon arrival. There was housekeeping outside my room and they helped. But the front desk staff are horrible and need training. When checking out none of them acknowledge me standing there, it wasn’t until only after a family came after me and walked up to check out that I was helped after going up to them myself. When I went to drop my luggage off they had an attitude about that as well as if I was inconveniencing them. Luckily I came only for one day so was in and out.
A used washcloth left in my hotel room upon arrival
Was in the hallway outside of my room all day.
Some type of stain left on headboard right next to butt mark on bed
Window view despite paying for a city view
