This was not our first time staying here but it will be the last. We have stayed here now on 4 occasions over the last several years. So obviously I have previous stays to compare. We arrived and the clerk was nice. I was advised the lobby closes at 11 and we use the door to the side of the office. I parked and we went to our room through the unlocked side door. In today’s time all entry points like that should be secured for guest access only. We went up to our room which appeared about standard for a hotel. The curtains appeared to be the same from our original stay back in 2002. Once we got settled we went to bed. Pretty sure the pillows and mattress are just as old and uncomfortable. The next day room my wife went to take a shower and the provided shampoo was used. When we left and went about our day they came in and made the bed and freshened the towels but also readjusted the A/C so when we came in from a hot day our room was not cool, and I’m sorry but that is unacceptable and people keeping their room cool is the cost of doing business. We had the same results the next day. Lets move to check out day. Prior to turning the key in and notifying the staff we were checking out as well as an 1.5 hour before checkout. We carried some stuff down to the car and the wife remembered something we forgot in the room. We go back up and find the door propped open and no one around. That is unacceptable and you don’t enter rooms until after guest checkout.
