absolute highlight of this Hotel is the truly spectacular architecture. It was once a private bank. Not sure of the exact vintage but late 19th century art nouveau. One of the most impressive and beautiful buildings I’ve ever stayed in. The incredible bronze safe in the lobby is worth the price of admission alone. Location is perfect. A minute’s walk from the old town. I can’t remember much about my room but I’m sure it was nice!

Best hotel in the heart of Bucharest

Amazing building, interior and decor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be more convenient, in the old city and minutes walking distance from all the areas we wanted to go. Will absolutely return next time in Bucharest.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Check-in was slow and took about 25 minutes, as our room was not ready when we arrived. Unfortunately, the extra bed included in our reservation was not provided, and although we had three guests, only a limited number of towels were supplied. The wellness facilities were generally good — the gym, swimming pool, and sauna were enjoyable — but the steam room had a noticeable unpleasant smell, and there was a faint bad odor in the pool area as well. Parking was tricky and definitely a challenge. We were lucky to find a spot in front of the hotel, but this seems to be more the exception than the rule. I would recommend this hotel more strongly to those not traveling with a car. On a positive note, the surrounding area is beautiful, and the hotel itself has potential if some of these issues are addressed

For a 5 star hotel the rooms are very small. The carpet in the room has stains on it and it does not feel like a 5 star hotel. When you walk into the hotel the check in desk doesn’t even greet you and nobody offers to help you with your luggage. The bar is very nice and has good service. Overall this hotel is in a good location and in a cool building but not worth the price they charge.

This is a beautiful, excellent, historic hotel in the best part of old town Bucharest. The bed was comfortable, with a selection of pillows. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant was delicious. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is walkable and interesting, with many of the best restaurants, theaters and museums in Bucharest within a few minutes walk. This place feels like a 5-star hotel, without feeling pretentious. I loved staying here and highly recommend it to others. I plan to stay here again next time I'm in Bucharest.

Great location, disappointing rooms for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was just ok once again disappointing for a 5 star. Staff seemed apathetic and not very enthusiastic. The only one that stood out was the host at breakfast restaurant he was very polite and professional. Also, finding a parking in the area is very difficult.

Far from 5 Star

The hotel is stunningly beautiful and clean. There is not an essence of 5 star service to be found. Service and follow up are poor. Concierge was not working 2 of the 3 days that we were there. Requests for Tickets to The House of Parliament and Ceaucesu home were not fulfilled or with any follow up. Reservations for restaurants (x2) that were supposedly made were not found to be in place. There is a shortage of staff for the guests. Drink coupons, Asti Spumante, pastry and profusive apologies are given in response to the shortcomings but NO IMPROVEMENT in service follows. Manager Radu Taraboanta took the feedback well but sadly did not halt the absence of a proposed reservation for later that evening INSIDE the hotel itself. Look for an alternative until such time the service can be improved. The bones are there for something great, just not there yet.
