Everyone was very friendly and the service was good. Our room was in need of an update, the space was strange and open, like it lacked something by way of another piece of furniture. The windows didn’t open and the a/c system was like a wind tunnel.

we had to walk a block every meal. thats how far away our room was. there was no drinking water for free except the 2 bottles left by cleaning personel when cleaning room. the food was outrageously priced. couldnt walk anywhere other than the property. no shopping or many dining options.

Dont buy any drinks in the sports bar. Example 1 rum and coke is $20 cdn! Bartender told us to buy a bottle and it would be cheaper. This place is far from anything and youll need transportation to go anywhere or shop. They have a store thats also crazy exspensive. Im sure next time I'll book closer to everything. Also note * the beach here is under red flag 24/7

This was our 3rd stay here. Get yourself an ocean view with a balcony, and you'll be happy. We loved opening our sliding door every morning and having coffee while watching the waves. The view is beautiful, and the Westin is at the quiet end of the hotel zone with easy access to the clean, swimmable beach. When we wanted to see Cancun a little or buy groceries, the local bus stopped right out front and was easy to navigate.
