I stayed in room 403 which overlooked the main street in town. The room was very spacious and clean. The room had ceilings taller than 8', a modern decor, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel dining room staff were very accommodating and friendly! I felt safe walking around and learning about the town. This is a small quiet town with limited shopping and dining. I had breakfast one day at Mcdonnell's, just down the block, and it was delicious - highly recommend it. Also, you can take a car ride on business Route 6 East and enjoy the countryside vistas. The town of Honesdale is just a short drive away and has a nice walkable downtown with a variety of shops and eateries. The only disappointment was that the TV did not function properly. I was hoping to watch a movie after dinner from the free streaming app services already downloaded but they were not working. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Antracite and would stay here again.

Nice staff beautiful atmosphere and very clean rooms. They were having issues with Internet that made it impossible to watch any t.v. The front desk was very helpful in trying to resolve but the issue was out of their control.

This is a really cool hotel for this town. All the basic bones are great but without much traffic, felt like a low occupancy problem, things brake and are not replaced. Staff was very good but not a lot they can do except change rooms. ie; unable to drain sink, lever not connected to stopper / refig not cooling, nob broken. The TV was set up really odd, never was able to overcome that problem even with a room change.
