I just had a major surgery and came here so i wouldnt have to drive straight back home afyer surgery which was over a 100mi away. One of the staff members Ben went above and beyond to ensure i was comfortable by escorting me to my room and helping me get in bed and gave me additional pillows without me having to ask. Very professional and assisting. The room was spacious as i required disability acessible room however there should be an additional drain to capture water from shower because it gets all on the floor.

The rates are cheap for a reason

Upon arriving we noticed we only had two towels in our bathroom for 3 people. No washcloths or hand towels. We had to ask for additional towels/washcloths throughout our stay as we did not get any housekeeping services during our 5 day stay (not by our choice). Additionally, there is a $25 per day incidental fee that was charged to my card at the beginning of check-in that is not mentioned in the booking. To top things off one night consisted of music that went on well after midnight in the hotel parking lot. So loud I could hear word for word the lyrics to every song played. It was apparent hotel staff didn't care about other guests trying to sleep.

Hotel is esthetically pleasing, check in process was good. Roaches were in the bathroom we had to change rooms the second room had a horrible urine smell the 3rd room was fine. Breakfast didnt have many options and didn’t taste good at all. Getting towels was a hassle as if they don’t have many in the hotel, staff who brought the towels to our room was rude about not handing over the clean towels until having the used towels handed to him first. The pool was nice, and the other staff members were friendly.

The hotel was just okay. It wasn’t as clean as I expected — there were no towels or face cloths provided upon arrival, and the beds didn’t appear to be freshly made. The main thing this hotel has going for it is its convenience and location. Other than that, it didn’t meet the standards I was hoping for.

Nice hotel with convenient location

The hotel was conveniently located to the Charleston area convention center and provided the amenities that I enjoy at Tru hotels. We had a lack of housekeeping though which put a bit of a damper on the stay. When I called the front desk to ask for clean towels (since we were on day 3 and hadn't had housekeeping come by at all) they did bring them to our room quickly.

The positive; a pleasant staff. Everyone was incredibly nice. The hotel and lobby appearance were pleasant and our room was clean. Not so positive: thin walls. Even casual next door conversations seemed loud. We were there three nights and had zero room service. I reported a broken window shade on day 1- never repaired. Breakfast was OK.

The Hotel From Hell

I've already complained to the GM twice since my stay, and I haven't received any reply. Absurd. This hotel is awful. The rooms do not feature closets or bureaus for clothes. The AC unit NEVER SHUTS OFF, and there is no way for guests to do so. The pillows and beds are uncomfortable. My room had bedbugs, so I left with bites all over my legs. Finally, I stayed for five nights, and my room was only cleaned and made up ONCE, even after repeated requests to the front desk. That is unacceptable. The breakfast spread and gym are solid, but those are the only positives I can offer about this property. Regardless, I don't recommend staying here.
