The house is a flexible combination of three suites, each with it's own stunning view and separate entrance. Carson's Run is a very unique home that can accommodate up to twelve in for a wedding party, family reunion or group vacation.

The Phoenix Suite sleeps up to six guests. The Gathering Room features a sitting area in front of a fieldstone fireplace, perfect for curling up with a great book. On game day, or movie night, the TV area with large wall-mount screen, is the place to be. One of the two seating areas doubles as a queen size pull-out. This unit has a fully outfitted kitchen with adjoining dining room. A large Master Suite with king size brass bed also provides a cozy sitting area for a bit of peace and quiet. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and can be accessed from the master bedroom if needed. Out on the screen porch, you'll find a daybed, rocker and dining set; a nice place to get together at the end of the day. You can serve dinner right from the grill as the sun sets.

The Fireside Suite conveniently adjoins the Phoenix on the same level. This small romantic suite with private bath and separate entrance features a queen size iron bed right in front of a gas fireplace. There is a screened porch for morning coffee that you can prepare in your own very neat mini-kitchen.

On the lower level, the Mystic Suite adds a queen bed as well as a queen pull-out sleep sofa in the sitting area. This suite has a country modern feel with an eclectic combination of antiques and collected pieces. A fully equipped kitchen comes outfitted right down to the salt, pepper, sugar and Splenda. This unit also has it's own entrance and a wrap around porch.

The house has everything you need to hideaway for a week or maybe longer.... Don't forget the groceries!

This house was most welcoming! A lot of space for the 6 of us, plus our dogs. We had dishes, utensils, glasses, etc available for us which was very convenient! A very wonderful stay. We did have issues with weather from the ice freezing the driveways and Van was very responsive and understanding to give us a later checkout to let the ice melt. A great host with a beautiful home. We would highly recommend!

Carson's Run was even better than expected. We really felt comfortable and at home. Each suite had everything we needed and more. What a bonus - every day the morning sunrise was spectacular. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Van was also very nice and super easy to work with. I will definitely keep Carson's Run my favorites and recommend to friends.

The host was welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed the space, with 3 suites, all connected. There were night lights provided which helps in a strange place with children. The girls loved the chance to play outside and walk the dog, regardless of the temperature! Having the extra refrigerator was helpful as we celebrated Thanksgiving and needed a bit of extra space, at least until we could use the screen porch when it got cold! It has the vibe of a beloved mountain home, not a sterile feel at all. However, the sectional was well used and not as comfortable as it might have once been. The kitchen was well stocked, in fact, it could possibly use some cleaning out of many multiples of items. It was hard to get to some of the items as they were stacked upon each other. On the other hand, it has just about everything you might need to cook 'at home'.Overall, it was a great home, great place for Thanksgiving and birthday family gathering and we would stay there again! Thank you for sharing your beloved get away.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect — close to great hiking trails, wineries, and plenty of local attractions, yet set in a small, quiet neighborhood that made it easy to relax. The layout of the home, with three distinct suites, was ideal for our group and offered plenty of privacy for couples traveling together. Parking on the home level is a bit limited, especially for larger vehicles, but there’s convenient parking on the street level with just a short walk down to the house. Overall, a nice place to stay and we’d happily return!

This rental was perfect for our family gathering. We loved the layout where every family could have their own space (if they wanted/needed). We loved walking up to the road each morning to watch the sunrise over the mountains. It was a very accessible location to lots of hikes, wineries and activities in downtown Dahlonega. In researching different rental options, Van was incredible kind and responsive. We would absolutely stay again.Thank you, Van, for letting us enjoy your slice of heaven!

Property was spacious, clean and in good working order. Location was great - on the side of the mountain with a nice view. “Mountain roads” to get there were smooth and paved. GPS worked all the way to the cabin - which was not true for all our north Georgia adventures!

Easy Access, Comfortable Stay!

Wonderful View and Pet Friendly

We loved the privacy of having a kitchenette in our suite and able to make coffee there. We had our two ShiTzu very small dogs with us and were so very glad we did not have to board them. We were there for a family wedding and had lots of things to prepare for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. The space was wonderful and the awesome kitchen was the best equipped one I ever saw. Then having access to a second big refrigerator in the big downstairs suite was very helpful. We utilized all the suites with our family. We also got use to the steep driveway. We ended our stay wishing we had some days just to relax there and enjoy the fantastic views.

Beautiful Property and Amenities

The property exceeded expectations! With teenagers, it was nice for everyone to have their own space when they wanted it, but also plenty of space for us to hang out together. The property is clean, well maintained, and the kitchen has everything you need and then some! Location is close to downtown Dahlonega for a quick trip into town. Great stay!

Local stay during local home repairs!

Wow! We could not have been happier! We are local and experienced a flood resulting in being out of our house for 3 weeks during repairs. Van’s hospitality and Carson Runs wildly prepared cabinets made it a pleasure! The wildlife and screened porch were a joy and a treat every morning! We saw a pair of bears ambling by, a mother fox and 3 kits, an owl, multitudes of deer, and. Tiny baby box turtle. The 3 entrances and 3 kitchenettes worked wonders to give 5 adults space and togetherness! Made a crazy few weeks much easier! Thanks so much Van!
