When I checked in and went to my room on the 8th floor the key cards did no open the door. As I had carried my gear up I had to carry it down back to the front desk. Where I was greeted by a man name Larry. He said he would go back up with me and assured me the key cards work. When we got to the door he hit down very hard on the door handle in order to get it to open. I could not have imagined the force needed to make the door open. Next when we went into the room I noticed there was no chair at the desk. Larry said he would call down someone to find a chair fro the room. After no repsonse to his radio outreach he used the room phone, it rang it seemed 20 times with no answer so he hung up and called again. He left the room and returned after a very long time with a chair that had a huge tear in the back. What a joke. After I pointed the tear he took it away and returned again after anohter long delay. During which I called the front desk and again it rang many many times with no answer. When Larry borught a second chair he said multiple times, "we are about to go through a total renovation". I told him that did nothing for me today. The final issue is when I got up the next morning to take a shower the when I held the shower handle to turn the water on it fell off. I have photos of both the chair and shower handle in my hand if you want them. I conclude by saying in more than 50 years of business travel, and staying in many Hilton properties, this is the worst Hilton hotel.
