I was real scared after I read the reviews after I booked the room but after seeing room I was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean. staff was helpful and friendly. Furniture was dated but stay at any beach hotel and it is same quality if not better. Great view. Construction was a pain. For the price and walking distance I could not be happier with my choice. I never write reviews but I wanted to on this one. I feel prior reviews were unfair. Parking was crazy due to hotel being booked. I had two rooms and I had to park across street for one of the nights. Other than parking and construction on the road in front of Hotel. I would stay here again.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. We had to wait 30 minutes just to check in because there was only one person working the front desk. The room was dirty — the bed had hair on it, and the sheets were torn. Every time we took a shower, the bathroom flooded and water even seeped into the room. On top of that, the phone wasn’t working, so we couldn’t call the front desk for help. Very disappointing experience overall.

Great value hotel

The price for this location and beach view, pool, and beach access is wonderful. It's condition and cleanliness is pretty good. The only real negative was having to smell the cigarette and marijuana smoke while sitting at the pool from disrespectful people smoking on their balconies.

Never Underestimate Daytona's LA Quinta!

The scenery is gorgeous. The service is courteous. The lounge is always open and at least serving hot beverages.

It’s a room

I asked at check in that no charges happen to my method of payment after reading some complaints from other guests. Sure enough on the second day at 3am they tried to charge my card $100. I immediately called the front desk and they said there was a pet from our room. I told him to get up and check. We had been there for days and there was NO pet. We were refunded but watch out for that. There was hair on every linen provided and sand in the bed when we checked in. Additionally there are birds that live right off the third deck that NEVER stop making noise. Not fans of the breakfast. Our room had a lovely view though and it was ocean front.
