The additional incidental charge on my credit card for $4.54 is not acceptable. When I checked-in, the staff mentioned that there would be a charge for the use of a box type safe in the room. If I did not use the safe, I could ask to have the charge removed. This is a poor business practice, and I will not be staying at this motel during my future trips to Durango. The room had an old bar of soap in the shower as well as hair from previous guests in the shower and sink. There was popcorn on the floor from the previous guest. The bathroom sink faucet was very loose on the countertop.
