The check in and out was very easy, and staff very accommodating. The room was clean. Furnishing a bit dated, It was a quiet area and close to coffee shop and restaurants. Over all was a good experience and I would stay there again when in the El Cajon area.

Cleanliness & Service Need Work

The room was overall spacious, well planned, and mostly comfortable. But the floors in the room were noticeably dirty - and no carpeting anywhere to give bare feet relief from it (probably for the best, though lol). I had to wear shoes at all times to walk around the bedroom. The pool area was also pretty janky. Also - and this is a random problem but maybe indicative of the service/mgmt team - I called ahead to see if I could have a package delivered to the hotel; they said yes, as long as it showed up during my stay or on the day I would check in. It was an item I needed during my trip. Well, they turned the package away when it arrived a couple hours before I checked in. It was returned to sender and I wasn't able to get that item. Pretty upsetting; I would have found another way if they didn't give me the green light to send it there. I think this shows poor communication and poor guest consideration on the management/service team side. Also, the breakfast offering left a lot to be desired. We ate at the Denny's next door instead. Still, not the worst place I've stayed. It'll do in a pinch.

The experience was horrible. The room smelled extremely bad. The water was barely coming out of the shower and the sink. The land phone in the room was out of order. The breakfast supposedly was till 10 am, at 9:30 I came no coffee, no food, no water, only bread and jam. There was no staff on site. Horrible experience!

There was bed bugs from room 120 and in another room our guys tripped over a big lump in the middle of the floor. Looks like the floor is raising from the bottom.
