This property has been beautifully renovated and is immaculate inside and out. The area is quiet and location lovely. BUT the air conditioning unit is like sleeping next to a jet engine that powers on and off all night. It wakes you from a dead sleep. This room was so lovely but we struggled to sleep which is the point of a hotel room. We ended up opening the windows the second night which was inconsistent and so loud when people pulled in late or left early. Wanted to love the Roosevelt, but would not stay again.

Room was pretty clean when we checked in. You need to request room cleaning before 9am for the service after checking in, and the front desk missed our request during our stay. The shower tub is super slippery without a shower mat, front desk said that’s how it is. It’s located right by the north entrance to Yellowstone. So, that’s a big plus.

Convenient location. Bathroom was immaculate. Adequate towels. Ice machine was out of order. Coffee & donuts were put out after we left for sightseeing. No juice. No vending either. I would not stay there again.

Do not confuse this property with the Roosevelt INN that is inside Yellowstone. This is in Gardiner, an older town about a 40 minute drive. Not a bad stay but when you drive around back to your room there are junked cars parked along the roadway. Looked pretty sketchy when we arrived. The room was clean. The AC unit was loud. We had a good dinner about 3 miles down in town. Lots of food trucks and some shops. Interesting experience. Friendly people.

We normally stay at chain hotels. That wasn't an option in this case, but we were pleasantly surprised. Very clean, very new, all the expected items. The property is laid out strangely, but it was not a problem. Some rooms are in a different building not adjacent to the property, with some residences between. Our building was up the side of the mountain a little. Nothing wrong with that, it was just unusual. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast options.

A good option for tight budget travelers that don’t care about the overall experience and are only looking for a place to sleep. Check-In experience was terrible. No friendliness, empathy for 1st time visitors.

Wish there was an elevator. I did get charged an extra $45 at check in. The girl told me it was taxes. When I questioned it the next day the man told me it’s bc we went thru Expedia. I will get in touch w Expedia for an explanation.
