Don't misinterpret my review. This hotel is clean and comfortable but OLD, which means the doors creak, the carpet is wrinkled and sometimes you get an smell like a really old place. We were unlucky because the interstate exit was closed so we had to drive 5 additional miles between woods that seemed like it was a really far away hotel. Also the first day we noticed a Bat in the stairs I reported it to management but when I checked out the bat still there. I did not use those stairs because I was afraid. Breakfast was good enough (eggs, sausages, waffles, cereal, coffee and juice). Check in and check out really easy to do.

We do not recommend this hotel

Our stay was for only one night. The hotel was not full, but our room was a distance away from the front. There was a lot of turn in the halls, with no signage to get to the elevator/front desk as the elevator was not seen and behind doors. Also, our TV remote did not work and had to have help come and look into it. The ac in the halls was not working, and was very hot this weekend. Breakfast was very limited and overcooked eggs and sausage was over cooked on the outside and not done well on the inside. Overall the hotel was old and tired looking from the outside as well as the areas past the front reception area.

Worse resort stay ever

Would not recommend this hotel. Online pictures are deceptive, they don't reflect the actual hotel. The staff was running between the Aspire Hotel and this hotel and the desk was not staffed. Had to go next door to check out. The building was run down. Needs maintenance and updating. The hvac did not work properly. It appears it's all family members working at this hotel providing minimum accommodations to customers. The breakfast was unappealing. For $174/night vs $129 at the aspire, it seems expensive as there really were no amenities/resort features. Back of the bldg had appearance of being built in 1950s wood rot and caulking holding it together. Parking lots unmaintained w/grass, potential slipping hazard. Sidewalk had broken eggs on it w/flies the entire stay. Will never stay at this hotel again and recommend no one stay there.

Great family stay

Stayed in 2 adjoining poolside rooms and the kids loved it! The room was very clean and the AC was awesome. Beds were comfortable and the included breakfast would have cost out family of 6 almost as much as one of the rooms if we went out for breakfast. It was hot and fresh and very good. There are upgrades going on, but if you don't mind the look of progress, it won't impact your stay in the least.

Not at all what I expected

Im really not happy giving a place a poor rating, but I expected much more from what listed as a “Conference Center”. Didn’t realize that there were 2 hotels physically linked together. Went to the wrong side 1st and the desk person there was friendly and helpful…. Not so much when we went to correct hotel desk. Not at all friendly or helpful to my wife. When the we got to the side door near our room, the damp musty smell was overwhelming!!! The hallway carpeting was literally coming and rolled in places. Made walking hazardous! THe door to our room was stuck, probably due to the humidity. Literally had to kick it open. The shower had not rails or anything to hold on too. I’m sorta handicapped and used a cane and sometimes a walker. But other hotels all have handles in the shower…. This had nothing. I was so afraid of slipping. Bathroom was small had not enough room for 2 people to place their stuff And not enough plugs!!! I travel with 3 items that need to be charged, my wife has 1 and her CPAP. Luckily I travel with an ext cord with 3 plugs at the end. Breakfast was OK except my piece of fruit looked OK on the outside, but the inside was brown.

The property was close to the venue we were at. The food from the bar was beyond amazing!!! The pool needed cleaned, the pool floor was black. It needed scrubbed, and the pool water felt like bath water. The area around the pool felt like a sauna.

We got to our room and found the adjoining door did not close and therefore did not lock. That room was occupied so we pushed a table against the door for the night. When I tried to shower and dress the next morning, I discovered the knob for the shower was gone and therefore the shower could not be used. I tried to call the front desk but the phone didn’t work. When we checked out, I told the desk person all of this. She told me she couldn’t do anything since I booked third party. I contacted Expedia right away and they called the hotel who authorized a $30 refund. That is unacceptable considering the condition of our room. It should have been a full refund!

We have stayed at a lot less expensive hotels that were much cleaner and well kept. For $160 we should not have found an empty toilet paper roll on the bathroom floor or crumbs under the nightstand. The outside of the property needs attention, bushes need trimmed back away from the sidewalk and the parking lot is long overdue for a paving. The bartender on duty was not welcoming and it seemed as though she was annoyed having to work. I will probably choose another hotel next time we go Gettysburg.
