Tonquin is our go to place to stay when visiting Jasper. It is an older property but the rooms have been repainted and maintained. Staff very good and helpful. Adequate kitchen items in our room. Great water pressure and fast hot water. We were in a main floor unit so did hear some foot traffic noise above but nothing excessive. Couple suggestions, offer lighter blanket choices as rooms are quite warm and small Air conditioner does not meet needs for whole unit. Time to replace the loveseats in the kitchenette rooms.

Put in a room directly above the restaurant despite asking for one anywhere else in the hotel. The noise through the vents wasn’t as bad as the kitchen staff propping the door open directly below our room and smoking regularly. I thought there was a bylaw about smoking that close to a building, let alone a kitchen! We’ll go elsewhere next time.

Great location

This hotel and its staff were very nice. Conveniently located next to a bunch of gift shops and restaurants. Felt very safe and room was super clean. There’s a great paved walking trail across the street that my wife and I walked after dinner. Would stay here again!
