The location of this hotel couldn't have been better! Being on top of the hill allowed for beautiful views. The hotel was equipped with everything that we needed, it was just a little dated especially for the price per night. My only complaints were that our view directly out of our room was a field full of dandelion stems and one morning I got up early before breakfast began, took my laptop to work until the buffet opened at 7am but was asked to leave the room until 7am (it was 5 or so minutes before and nothing going on in the room).

Highly recommend this hotel to anybody. Great view looking down the lake. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location in close proximity to the main strip to restaurants and stores. Amazing place!

It was a lovely hotel, but it needs some updating. The walls are very thin, we could everything our neighbors were doing, right down to blowing their noses. And the carpet in the elevator needs to be removed, with all the moisture from wet shoes, wet feet from the pool, and sooo many people with dogs, the stench is overwhelming.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in Lake Placid, and for my family and me, The Crown consistently stands out as our top choice. The hotel is exceptionally well-maintained, with staff visibly dedicated to cleanliness throughout the property. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are always friendly, which adds to the sense that the hotel is run with care and professionalism. One of the biggest pluses for us is that it’s pet-friendly. They have clear and sensible rules, making it easy and comfortable to bring our dog along every time. Pricing is fair and competitive, especially considering the quality of the experience. And lastly, their main dining room, with its stunning views of the lake and the town, is—hands down—our favorite dining spot in all of Lake Placid. – Danny
