It was our first time staying at Forest Suites, my family and. Went to celebrate my dad’s birthday and we wanted to play in the snow. The staff were very nice and welcoming, the lobby looked clean and cozy. I had booked 2 room family suites but 1 was only available exactly at check in time which was 4pm. The other room wasn't ready until about 4:30pm. Both rooms were spacious, warm, and inviting and had all the amenities that we were looking for such as a kitchenette with kitchenware provided, dining area, our living had a sofa bed. Did I also mention it was also dog friendly? Our hotel had different events happen at night such as s’mores night, hot cocoa night and more. The pool and jacuzzi are heated so even when there was snow around some daring people still used it during the day or night. What me and my family loved the most was the location. We were only a few minutes of walking distance to heavenly village square,

Overall it was clean and acceptable conditions quite close to Gondolas and all the pleaces in the village. They served breakfast everyday, and front desk was responsive and friendly and did their best to accommodate all our requests. The only problem was with the shower and drainage of the water as everytime after shower the whole bathroom would be flooded with water. It did look like a design problem as water splashed outside of shower area. I hope they will fix it.

The room has a smell, like an old house smell. My kids said, it smelled like broccoli. Lol. Anyway, the area is very convenient. The room is very spacious. It is a complete setup for the family. We would love to stay again.

Forest Suites is a beautiful and cozy stay in the South Lake Tahoe area. What really made our experience great here was the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. They were extremely helpful and engaged throughout our entire stay. Only downside was some of the room appliances could be updated but they had everything we needed. We would definitely come back if we make our way back to Heavenly Village.
