It's an old place and it shows. It could use some good detailed cleaning and updating of the showers and doors. The staff was great. I think her name was Rosie was wonderful. All in all I would stay there again. Definitely price friendly

Was in South Lake Tahoe on business. The room was on the small side but comfy. I never interacted with anyone from Heavenly Valley Lodge. Everything was done via text to check in & out. Sound can carry through the walls. People in next room had a young baby they were traveling with.

Property was advertised as bed and breakfast - there is no breakfast. Photos that were on Expedia were no taken at this property! Room is so small we need to coordinate moving around the room. The shower is sized to fit 3 year olds. The Expedia description mentioned 4 beach bars on the property - can’t find the each or one bar. Classic case of bait and switch. DO NOT STAY HERE

Just Heavenly

Such a nice, comfortable place to stay. We’ve been there twice in the past two months. Love that the rooms are unique. The check-in was so easy and convenient. Location is perfect! The whole setting is relaxing and you just want to keep coming back to this place. I know that we won’t make reservations anywhere else when visiting Tahoe. 11 out of 10 stars.

!!MUST READ!!

My wife and I came up to stay the night at heavenly valley Lodge. We will look on hotels and try and decide where to stay in South lake Tahoe. We both came to the agreement to give this Lodge a shot and let me tell you I am so glad we made the choice to stay here. Even though it is a no-staff on-site Lodge we didn't need anything because the room was equipped with everything we needed. We stayed in room 108 which was the fisherman's dream king room with an electric fireplace. Upon entering our room we looked at the grounds of heavenly valley Lodge and it was so peaceful looking with all the beautiful big trees around this Lodge. The outside of the lodge was very clean and well maintained. Once we entered our room my wife and I were in awww. The room was so nice and was not what we expected it smelled so clean and on top of that it was very clean. They offered robes so you can wear after you get out of the shower and they smelled nice and fresh. Thank you to whoever the lady is that claims the room she does an amazing job the rooms are absolutely fabulous and thank you to ever keeps the grounds up kept it was beautiful. We will definitely stay here again it was nice and cozy the beds were really comfortable the pillows were comfortable and it was real quiet at night so peaceful. My wife and I highly recommend this spot.

Cute place, but gone downhill

Disappointed. This was a lot nicer place years ago. There was no one in the office the entire time. We had check ourselves in, which would not be an issue, but there were problems: Wi-fi essentially worthless at night; hot tub closed, fireplace didn't work, etc. Plus the carpets seemed dirty. Not horrible, but definitely not maintained like it used to be.

Great Local Lodging

Clean room, nicely accessorized, and efficient. Small kitchenette and fridge were added pluses. It was nice staying in a local lodging versus a big casino hotel. Staff was available at check-in time to ensure all ran smoothly. Very pleased!

Our unit was immaculately clean and nicely stocked with the essentials. The bed was very comfortable, and the decor was fun. It had a very homey, personable feel to it. Check in was delightfully simple, with several e-mails and texts explaining how to access the room since there was no reception desk. The only negative thing I can say is that the photos of the site do not compare to the rooms themselves. The room we rented was very tiny. There was no table or chairs of any type, so the bed was the only option for sitting. It is also a noisy area.
