Beeping alarm issue (low battery sound)

It was overall a great stay but my 1st room had a smoke detector beeping every 10-15 seconds and was very loud. I couldn't relax with the sound as it was ear-piercing. Told lady at the front desk and she said it was normal for it to do that. Knowing how a smoke detector works I told her no it's not, it's a low battery sound, can you please fix it. She said the same thing again about it being normal so I requested a new room which was given to me. No other rooms had alarms doing that. So I didn't like the fact that I was told something to me that was totally untrue and that I had to deal with it through the night. If I wouldn't have gotten a new room I'd have asked for a refund and went to the nearest Motel. Overall everything was cool and I was thankful that I got a new room to sleep comfortably. I got the room due to me having stress as the highway 99 was terrible that day 7/3/25 and I got bad anxiety from driving and had to stop. My route from Sacramento to Bakersfield would have taken a total of over 8 hours to drive. Thank you Motel 6 for accommodating me for that night. I slept great!!
