The Little Grey Duck Cottage on Cobbossee Lake

The “Little Grey Duck” is a classic Maine camp that sits on waters edge and embraces every bit of what Lake Cobbossee has to offer. Enjoy your screened in front porch, which is a guest favorite from the slow mornings with coffee, to the evenings settling down while grilling or even cracking open a Maine Lobster. The front porch leads way to a large deck with a grill and stairs that walk you down to your private dock. It’s there you’ll find a great spot to place your boat during your stay, a prime place to fish, deep water frontage for swimming, or simply a place to just sit with your favorite book and enjoy the sounds of the water. The camp is westerly facing, meaning you not only get to witness incredible daily sunsets, but also more time to enjoy the water with daylight! Inside you’ll have WiFi, a TV, AC or monitor heater, full kitchen, coffee maker, oven/stovetop, bathroom with shower, a full size bed, two twin beds, and also a pull out futon if needed. Lake Cobbossee has so much to offer from boating to ice fishing. It’s an 11 mile long lake with various coves and islands to explore, it also has one of New England’s only active fresh water lighthouses on the north end called “Lady’s Delight”. Theres lots of wildlife from loons to eagles and osprey and it is highly likely you’ll witness some, if not all during your stay! The cottage is located close to many amenities in town where there’s plenty of very reputable restaurants, bars, shops, and ice cream shops! It’s also close to the local grocery store and gas stations. The “Little Grey Duck” certainly embraces that classic “cottage” feel, as it is rustic, but rustic with charm! It’s provided many incredible memories over the past few generations, and we can’t wait to share the opportunity with you so that you can make some of your own.
