A good Midwest motel experience

Stayed for a quick overnight with one of my children (15 y/o). Easy check-in and fast access to the room. The cleanliness was good, not great, but nothing I was worried about. The breakfast that was included was exceptional with a good variety of hot and cold options.

Place is a dump, hot tub dont work. The bed in the suite room has springs poking throught the bed, door wouldnt lock. Had to change rooms from a suite to a regular room. They wont credit my bill for the downgrade. Place had mold. Continental breakfast was just muffins due to call offs.

The place is disgusting. Hair in the bathroom, mold around the trim. Only muffins for breakfast. Staff shortage. Hot tub does not work. Got a suite and had to be downgraded due to the door not locking. Then they say they cant credit us for the different amount

Room was visibly dirty including a big red stain on the sheets i took that off the base trim was duck taped also when i went to take a bath there was hair so i had to clean that..ran out of toilet paper because we were left haugh empty rolls.. go to the pool eyes burnings from the chlorine and the spa was out the only reason i booked this specific hotel so that was just fantastic! ... wasnt a present stay.

Hotel room was dirty. The tub was not clean and shampoo was not stocked. The Mirror and counters in the bathroom were dirty as well. Do not stay at this hotel if you want a parking spot to park your car. I came back to the hotel and all the parking spots were full. I was told I had to park in the street. The clerk said because thats what trucks do I have to do that with my car. I had mentioned on checkout day the inconvenience of that and that if I purchase a hotel room I should have somewhere to be able to park my car. I had said if you only have one parking spot per room you should clearly let people know they can only park one car so every room has a spot. I got again eyes rolled at me and attitude from the staff.

Overall, this property was a nice stay for an overnight. The room was clean, but did have peeling on the ceiling in the bathroom (Possibly due water from the shower). The pool area was HEAVILY chlorinated so we did not use for more than 5-10 minutes.

The staff was great and the rooms are clean. The hot tub was not in service and looked as if it had been drained for quite a while (months if not years). I am really tired of hotels advertising amenities they do not have. I don't know why we have come to accept this as a society. The employees were great it's the owners that should be reviewed for upkeep.
