I stayed in this hotel years ago . The place is running down. The room was clean but didn't smell good. Bathtub and sink had stains. It's an old place that can use facelift.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Miner Inn in Mariposa was wonderful hotel in a small town. Everything is better than our expectation. We arrive after 9:30 pm. We called beforehand to let them know we will be late. They assured us there would be people at front desk to check us in. They did have people checked us in there, late in the evening. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast is hot and very surprise to us. We love this place, and would come back int he future.

Nestled in the mountains. Older hotel with newer carpet but bathroom in need of updating. Curtains wouldn’t close completely, falling off rod and didn’t feel clean. Basic complimentary breakfast (waffles/carbs, boiled eggs, sausage). Beds were clean but older / average comfort. Was okay but would search for something nicer next time.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and check in was quick. Room was clean and fully stocked with extra towels, etc. The only thing is the walls are so thin and kids were up and scremaing down the hall at 6 am this morning. Would definitely stay here again. Its good for a pit stop if you are tired. Not a lot of places are open up late to eat so if youre a night owl youre drive would be about 40 min to the nearest fast food stop.

This is a great place to stay when in the Yosemite area when your budget conscious. Room are large and clean, showers are hot and breakfast is substantial.

The place is older but clean and comfortable. The only problem was that we don't smoke and the room smelled as if someone had been smoking in it. My husband has a problem with that, but it was only one night.

Nice clean older hotel just outside of downtown Mariposa. Convenient to Hwy 140 to Yosemite (about 45-55 minutes). Comfortable bed with adequate breakfast.

Not what it used to be

The Miners Inn has been a go to hotel for us when traveling to Mariposa to see family. The hotel has declined over the years. The rooms are still clean and comfortable, but they have little options on the breakfast in the morning (if used to be wonderful, with waffles, eggs and fresh juices). They used to have a refrigerator with juices, sides, beer and wine to but in the lobby. There is very little. Hubby even walked to the gas station across the street to buy orange juice. The price is acceptable, considering there are little amenities. But i would pay a little more to get some of them back

The room was very clean. I love that they use blankets for the bed spreads, instead of real bedspreads. Really nice carpet. Just a really good room. Front desk lady was really sweet and very helpful and letting me in my room a little earlier than check in time. I was exhausted and that spoke volumes. Excellent experience all away around.
