My first stay here was great. Hawthorne was wonderful. This time I had to use the shaking 70's elevator. Walking into my room, I thought someone had left the window open. I walk over and nope - that's how loud the highway is. There's very little room in the dining area that has guests playing musical chairs during breakfast.

We arrived by car. Very easy access from I 5. The rooms had an odor to them. Our daughter’s room smelled like cleaning solvent. To get to our room, we had to walk through wet towels on the floor from what I assumed was an ice machine leaking water. Breakfast was good and had lots of variety. Staff was friendly and efficient.

The room was really bad, didn’t seem clean and all the floors were sticky. We immediately left without a refund and booked a room across the street at the Hampton Inn for three times the price, but totally worth it. I didn’t think Ramada hotels were like this, probably won’t consider staying in one in the future. We actually paid NOT to stay here.

The room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. However, the traffic from the road could be heard so it better to have a room on the parking lot side. The most annoying aspect was the room's TV-it was a Google TV. (This was my second stay within a week and my first room had a weird TV set up with a smart TV as well. I was able to figure it out after a few tries of button pushing on the remote.) I could not figure out the Google TV at all. I had to finish the set up of the TV by scanning for channels. I got 4 but none of them worked-antenna or cable. The picture was a jumbled, scrambled pixelated green mess. In order to watch anything, I would have had to log into Netflix, Disney+, Tubi, or YouTube if I'd been able to get an internet connection on the TV. I don't need a fancy TV set-up in a hotel room; just a TV that's simple to operate and has standard cable options.
