Comfortable stay prior to cruise

All staff were excellent. Enjoyed “Julie” our server in the restaurant in the evening. Only thing they could do differently is provide 2 bars of soap in the bathroom. One for the sink and one for the shower.

There were two persons at the front desk. The male was rude and unhelpful when asked if there was a fridge in the room for medication and if I could put some freezer packs in their freezer overnight-the response was no and no there was nothing he could do. The female person took my ice packs and put them in the freezer in their back office and when we went to the room there was a fridge in the room. The bathroom was not clean and poorly maintained

Pictures online don't represent this hotel correctly. This place is dirty and run down. We got our first room and the room had a terrible odor. We got another room and was a little better. Except the room wasn't even vacuumed and things were very dusty. We had to request housekeeping to come back in. Furnace filter had an inch of dust. If there was management you could just tell there were no standers and no one to hold workers accountable for their work. Would not recommend for almost $500 a night!

Very dissatisfied with holiday inn port of Miami

Our stay was absolutely horrible. After a 13 hour travel day we got to the hotel and we were told our reservation was cancelled and that there were no other rooms in n the whole city of Miami due to a boat show going on. Why do you have the option to pay at the hotel if they can cancel your reservation at 3:00 in the afternoon (check in time) was very disappointed we were homeless for the night due to no fault of our own. Don’t have the option to pay at the hotel if they can cancel if you haven’t paid because you haven’t got there yet.

I will never stay at a holiday inn again.

I booked a room with this hotel in January. I called them to confirm that everything was good for me coming to stay with them that night they told me everything was good. I arrive there with my family after taking a 45 minute Uber ride from Fort Lauderdale. They then proceed to tell me that my reservation has been canceled even though I had marked pay at location. Even the message and emails sent to me confirmed I would pay at the location. Not only did they cancel my reservation they lied to my girlfriend about how we could get a room if we just waited at 2 am. 3 am came around and he gave the room to someone else. We could have taken those 4 hours and gotten us at least a rental to sleep in. The person on duty then proceed to turn the music up loud and walk around the lobby laughing at us because there was no other place to go that late. This happened to several families that night as well. holiday Inn team told me that I was sent emails and messages about updates that is a lie I was not sent anything at all. PLUS they assured me that same day that my booking was solid. My poor kids had to sleep on the hard wooden furniture because this hotel overbooked and they gave my reservation away. They were incredibly rude to us as well.
