Check in was disorganized, then our room wasn’t ready when we went to the room, then gave us another room but there was an electrical problem then another room where stayed have leaking sink. The bed was soft and old, the carpet was old and questionable if clean or not. Outside our window sounded like bottle or metal crashing type facilities. They used the picture of the gallerias in the ad which is the malls picture.

Airocnditioning was bad specially during summer. They lent us an electric fan instead! Also, the beds are hard and pillows are so thin that they barely have any foam inside. I was not able to sleep well during my stay! TERRIBLE

While the lobby has been updated, you expect the rooms to resemble that as well. But the rooms are outdated, the bathrooms really need to be scrubbed and updated. Carpet stains, mildewed bathrooms and very slow elevators. There appears to be a cool roof top bar/lounge but you need a reservation in order to even go up there (we were not told upon arrival) otherwise you are not met with a friendly staff, even if you are a guest in the hotel. We decided not to spend any more money with the hotel at this point. Good area for shopping but was extremely busy with tourists even in May.

Comfortable - With Exception

First the location of this Hotel is fantastic. You are right in the middle of the City. On the other hand there are things that might concern some travelers. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is an older property so the elevators are slow and small. The room doesn't contain ice buckets and there are no ice machines in the hotel. I had to go to the 11th floor Bar/restaurant with my room coffee pot for ice. The shower in our room was slightly smaller than the size of phone booth with shower curtains on three sides so you have to be extremely careful not to make a mess. If you don't mind this kind of old style amenities it is a nice hotel. If you prefer more modern hotels this is not for you.
