It was fine for a sad visit.

Was definitely run down and in need of updates. Seemed like they were in the process of doing some things but overall it was not Marriott quality, even if it was in Brown Deer, WI. The few staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful though!

The staff were great but there was an electrical issues in the room. The pool was closed down with no prior notice. It was an indoor pool so it was not a weather related issue. The ice machine was broken on the floor so we had to go to other floors just to get ice.

There's so many little things about this place like get there and finding out that the pool is out. The ice machines didn't work on several floors. The walls in my room were very dirty, but the worst was waking up too a bug crawling on the bed that I was told by staff it wasn't a bed bug. But then?, that had me wondering if that was really crumbs or trash I thought I was feeling on the bed all night. The staff was very nice. The the kitchen staff extremely nice. I wish I remembered his name.

Upon check-in our keys didn’t work, then had them re-keyed. Got to our room to find a dirty towel and used bar of soap on the sink. Late at night, had someone try to key into our room several times, then was woken up by a phone call from the front desk early in the morning asking who was in the room. We decided to check out right away and when showering the shampoo and body wash containers were both completely empty. Very uncomfortable stay and the staff seemed very unorganized. I would not recommend.

Very Disappointed

They could not find my reservation to check me in. I was made to call Hotels.com to speak with customer service who advised me that nothing was wrong with my reservation. Hotels.com also told me that the site itself should provide compensation. Lorie at the front desk stated that they don't do that. After about 45 mins or so i was able to go to the room and the TV volume did not work. Maintenance had to come and take a look. All of this was after driving 6 1/2 hours from Detroit to pick up my student from college.
