This place has gone down hill, so nasty. We did not end up staying as we could not be comfortable is a room like that. Went to get our money back, no one at the desk to help us.

If you want a cheap room this is the place. Bed comfortable and checkin clerk friendly. But WiFi didn’t work, tv sound cut out, dresser mirror fallen on floor, front of drawer off, tile off in bathroom, phone blinking with message that can’t be retrieved, no batteries in tv remote, smoke alarm on ceiling has no cover nor battery, toilet phantom flushes, no hot water when all the permanent residents get home from work, choice of breakfast items off a short list - prepared in the closet by desk clerk “to go” (she toasted a bagel served with 1 butter & 1 grape jelly packet - plus a nutrigrain bar), coffee grounds still in pot from previous guests.

It's fine for what it was. The price was fair enough. It had a fridge, was close to town. The room smelled like smoke, and the floor was warped. It is obviously an old hotel. The water pressure was good in the shower, toilet ran constantly. I probably wouldn't book it again, but it serves the purpose if you just need a place to overnight in Montrose. The staff was nice.

The room had a horrible smell, almost like a cleaner (Febreeze) used to cover up some other smells. Carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a decade.

Has not enough parking rooms are dated, stairs to 2nd floor no light at night can’t see where stepping. Lobby not open early to check out. Had to leave without paperwork.

If you are looking for a cheap stay in an expensive town. This one s the place but don’t expect much more than a hot shower and a bed. Room was pretty clean but had many issues. Cracks in walls and ceiling. Shower door leaks and sticks. It’s ok if you are passing through and need a cheap place to stay.

Under construction inside and out. Old warn furniture and carpeting. Immediate toilet problems which took over 1 hour to get service. Poor breakfast menu. Choices limited, with only 1item and no juice.

Staff was very nice, and rooms have a lot of space, it's just very worn and dated. Wifi didn't work at all -- major demerit for that, hard to plan next day without wifi. AC was also so old it didn't cool at all, so room was pretty hot. Shower and bathroom were fine (roomy again) and bed and pillows were clean and nice enough. Lamps didn't work because they hadn't been maintained and didn't want to touch carpet. Room rate was very good, but swear this place used to be nicer.
