First time staying here and it was wonderful. The view was gorgeous, rooms were very cozy, comfortable, and clean. They do offer free breakfast which we missed but overall, a nice change of scenery coming from the busy fast paced city. We’d definitely stay there again!

We stayed during the offseason and had a great experience overall. Check-in was quick and easy, and we felt very safe throughout our stay — the security gate was a nice added touch. It was definitely a bargain for the price. While we were a little disappointed that the pool was closed, the room and bathtub were very clean, and the fresh paint gave it a nice touch even though it’s an older property. The beds were amazingly comfortable! We would absolutely stay here again.

Close to mountain Wisp, have big safe hill near resort for sledding. Bring your own sleds. Cross country sleeping on property is also a plus, but bring your own skis .

The rooms were very clean, but restraunt/lounge was closed due to no staff and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel because there is nothing close to go eat and have a drink, so we chose this hotel BUT it was not open and no where on the web site it said it was closed, and was not told this when they called to confirm my resorvations, didnt find out until we got there so that was a dissapointment, the tv screeen was messed up, very very small. I would stay again IF the restaruant is open. the views are beautiful. rooms clean,but call ahead next time. some of the games in the game room were also broken.

It was adequate for a night ; I wouldn't suggest staying any longer than that. The mattresses seemed to be new but were very hard, not good for side sleepers. It is in the process of renovation but has a lot of work still needed, particularly the bathroom. The pool was also out of order. Eat somewhere else. The bar was understaffed with only a single worker acting as both bartender and waiter. Management just stood there givng the poor guy a nasty look without help or direction. Food tasted like it was cheap frozen stuff that was just reheated. The apple pie wasn't even warm.

We came in the off season, so most things were closed. But our room was comfortable and clean and very quiet. We only were served a grab-and-go breakfast, but it was ok for our needs. I don't think the restaurant was open because it was the off season. The few staff we did meet were friendly. The property looks very nice - a beautiful golf course, hiking trails, and plenty of boats for activities on the lake. I'm sure it is a very nice place to stay in the summer.

Nightmare

I had a serious issue with finding a place to eat on my stay. One of the restaurants was reserved for a private party however the other restaurant was totally abandoned. When I went there for dinner dirty dishes were still on tables. I went to the restaurant bar and was informed that I couldn’t get any food because the reserved restaurant had all the staff and food. I had to get into my car and drove over 10 miles to Oakland Maryland to get something to eat

Alpine Lake is a beautiful place to visit and stay. It was fall and rainy during our visit but we plan to return and enjoy the many recreational opportunities Alpine Lake affords. The staff was helpful and available and we had a wonderful visit. Alpine Lake is a hidden gem.
