Awesome Stay but...

Love this hotel, but I just wished I knew about the renovations going on. This was a moderate inconvenience because the elevators were reduced from 3 to 1 without options for stairs unless there was an emergency. Great hotel and I cant wait to come back post renovations.

The toilet didn’t work properly. Expedia overbooked the hotel so we didn’t get the room we paid for $600, which we had to find other accommodations for the friend with us, since we didn’t get the suite we paid for. Tragic

This is good value-for-money accommodation in the heart of the Warehouse Arts district. Just don't stay there on a Friday or Saturday night. There is a nightclub across the street called Republic NOLA that offers live music most Fridays and Saturdays. The volume of the music is so loud that even though they are across the street, your room still vibrates from about 8 pm until almost 1 am. Ear plugs don't really help because it's typically a booming bass. In-room sound measurements were 45-55 dB. Hotel staff are aware of this issue but seem reticent to do anything about it. Even though there are noise bylaws in the city, they seem to have little impact. Maybe a lawsuit from Marriott's corporate lawyers would do the trick? Perhaps if you request a room furthest from S. Peters Street the noise isn't so bad.

The hotel was in good location maybe little over a mile walk to the French Quarer. Room was nice and big!
