Unfortunately, I was initially assigned two rooms that were unacceptable—one on the 6th floor that hadn’t been cleaned at all, and another executive room on the 5th floor that had mold. By that point, I was extremely disappointed, especially since we were in New Orleans celebrating my friend’s birthday. I mentioned to Malcolm in the elevator that it was my friend’s birthday, and he asked if I had told the front desk. At first, I hesitated because of the already frustrating experience and didn’t think it would help—but I decided to say something anyway. That’s when everything turned around. The staff went above and beyond: my friend received a birthday cake, and the third room was absolutely spectacular. Thank you, Malcolm, for turning a rough start into a great experience!
