There was water dripping from the two ceiling light fixtures in the bathroom when the occupant above our unit took a shower or bath. I called and got a refund on the room and was moved to another room. However, it was distressing to have to see water leaking like that. There are no good restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious and otherwise okay.

The facility is a bit old but well renovated and maintained. The breakfast was enjoyable, especially the bread, which was delicious and made the mornings pleasant. While the surrounding area is somewhat noisy and not very clean, with limited restaurants and grocery stores, the hotel is conveniently located near a subway station. However, the air-conditioning didn’t work properly and the room was quite cold. Although a mechanic came to check it, the issue returned shortly after. Unfortunately, I caught a cold due to the low temperature during my stay. The hair dryer was also broken, but when I informed the front desk, they promptly provided a replacement, which I appreciated.

This was my second time staying at the Opera House. The property was very quiet, clean and the rooms and bathroom were spacious. They offered continental breakfast (mostly grab & go items) as well as free luggage storage (if you need it). If you have a vehicle, parking is very limited on site (first come first serve basis). There is a Dunkin Donuts directly across the street. Overall, great experience!

When I booked this property, I reviewed its rating and inspected the pictures. It looked awesome, and we were excited to stay there. We were looking for a nice hotel close to LGA airport. However, as I was driving toward the hotel with my family in our rental car, I noticed that this property is listed as being in the Bronx. When I actually arrived—and this was at 11 p.m.—people were loitering, sitting in front of the hotel, and staring at us. It was a complete mess. I’m not easily scared, and having grown up in a foreign country, however I know an unsafe situation when I see one. Long story short, we kept driving because my family refused to stay at this hotel. If you’re looking for a cultural experience you wouldn’t get anywhere else, this might be your hotel. The pictures are awesome and I assume this is a really great hotel. Otherwise, this was the first time in 25 years that something like this has happened to me.

Good time

I'm very happy and satisfied with this place. I recommend to everyone. The room was bigger, comfortable, very clean for me and my husband. We stayed for one night but we would like to come back in the future. All staffs are respectful and friendly. I'm in love with this place 👌❤️❤️❤️❤️
